Saving

Saving is an act of wisdom and stewardship.

The Bible teaches us to prepare for the future, not out of fear, but out of faith and responsibility. Just as Joseph stored grain during years of plenty to provide during years of famine, we are called to use times of provision to prepare for what lies ahead (Genesis 41:34–36).

Proverbs reminds us that “the wise store up choice food and olive oil, but fools gulp theirs down” (Proverbs 21:20). Setting aside resources, little by little, allows us to weather life’s uncertainties and provide for our families. It also frees us to be generous when needs arise, instead of living paycheck to paycheck.

Saving is not about hoarding—it’s about building a foundation of stability and peace. By practicing discipline and foresight, we honor God with the resources He has entrusted to us, ensuring we are ready to meet both today’s responsibilities and tomorrow’s challenges.
